President Muhammadu Buhari’s hometown, Daura and Katsina State capital have been thrown into jubilation right from the wee hours of yesterday following the emergence of President Buhari as winner of Saturday’s presidential poll.

The atmosphere remained joyful as hundreds gathered in different parts of Katsina metropolis after celebrating the victory for hours in the house of the state governor, Aminu Bello Masari, and the palace of Katsina monarch, Alhaji Abdulmumini Kabir Usman.

While the jubilation was on-going in Katsina metropolis, many supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Buhari loyalists, especially youths in Daura, also trooped out to strategic locations in the ancient city shouting “Sai Baba,” “Sai Buhari” and waving brooms, the symbol of the ruling party.

LEADERSHIP also observed that most residents in Katsina and Daura, were dressed in new attires befitting a festive moment.

Prayers were also held in several mosques across the state to express gratitude to God for the victory of APC and the President.

At virtually every ward headquarters of the party in Katsina township, loud speakers were blaring music that were popular on the APC’s campaign train for this year’s elections.
