The African Democratic Congress (ADC) governorship candidate in Adamawa Senator, Abdulaziz Murtala Nyako, has called on the federal government to provide security in crisis areas affected by insurgent for this week elections to hold peacefully.
Nyako stated this at Michika Local Government Area, where he took his campaign tour across the state.
He said there was need for the Federal Government to provide adequate security for the people of Madegali Local Government and some parts of the state recently attacked by insurgency.
According to him, the presence of security within the areas will remove fear and restore confidence to the electorates to vote for candidates of their choice in this Saturday’s presidential and National Assembly elections and the governorship election coming up in March.

Nyako also solicit for dialogue with the insugent in other to bring lasting peace, hence the continued attack on people and properties has affected their living conditions which is long overdue, adding that the situation has brought untold hardship to communities and has affected schools as well as hospitals.
He said ADC government hope to seek for lasting solution if it wins the election.
According to the Senator, “I want to tell you that, if ADC wins, I hope to tackle the security situation which is part of my agenda,” he stated.
He said the crisis has affected farmers and their produce, as well as the market .
Earlier, Mohammed Shuwa, former special assistance to former Governor Murtala Nyako call on the federal government to make efforts for the electorates to vote in the coming elections, as a result of the security situation, so that they will not be disinfranchised.
