Sen. Abdul-Azeez Nyako, has promised to resuscitate the Special Assistance and Local Apprenticeship Scheme (LAS), programs initiated by his father, for job creation in Adamawa state.
Sen. Nyako who lamented the rate of unemployment in the state, argued that providing means of livelihood to youths, could mean eliminating political thuggery, and restiveness perpetrated by Shilla Boys, in the state.
Nyako who is gubernatorial candidate of African Democratic Congress (ADC),
Flagg-off of ward-to-ward campaign tour of the 21 LGAs where he vowed to run a prudent and accountable to the electorates.

Also speaking, the chairman of the party, Alhaji Yahaya Hammanjulde, lauded the massive turn out of people at the rally which he described as a sign of popularity and acceptability of the party in the rural area.
Hammanjulde said ADC would not betray the people and that was why it nominated Sen. Abdul-Azeez who is a performing serving senator and son to former governor Murtala Nyako to salvage the state.
Salihu Dabbora, ADC party chairman in Ganye said the experienced under former Gov Nyako administration and would support Sen. Nyako who is committed to reviving the good old days.
Dabora enumerated that, the major challenges of the people of the local council is lack of real empowerment and poverty level of the people.
