AIG Tunji Disu Takes Over As Nigeria’s Inspector-General Of Police

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has replaced the Inspector-General of Police, Olukayode Egbetokun, with Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu.

Although official confirmation is still awaited, sources within the Presidency disclosed that the announcement would be made imminently.

Disu, who was recently elevated to the rank of Assistant Inspector-General of Police, was also posted to head the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) Annex in Lagos.

Born on September 4, 1964, Disu was expected to retire from the Nigeria Police Force in September 2024 but remained in service following an extension of his tenure.
