Lokosa, who plays for Kano Pillars, made his international debut for the Super Eagles in Monday’s friendly against DR Congo, which ended 1-1 in Port Harcourt.

Eight players, who ply their soccer trade in the English Premier League, are one step closer to the 2018 World Cup finals after being named in the squad.

They include Chelsea trio Victor Moses, Ola Aina and Kenneth Omeruo, Leicester City stars Kelechi Iheanacho, Wilfred Ndidi and Ahmed Musa, Arsenal winger Alex Iwobi and Brighton and Hove Albion newly signed defender, Leon Balogun.

The team met with President Muhammadu Buhari yesterday morning before they departed for London aboard a chartered aircraft for the friendly against England at Wembley Stadium on Saturday.

After their game with England, the Super Eagles will depart for Bad Tatzmannsdorf, a town in Austria, where they will spend eight days at the Avita Resort before flying to Russia.

They will play a final pre-World Cup friendly against the Czech Republic at the Rudolf Tonn Stadium on June 6.
