President Nana Akufo-Addo says he is devastated by Saturday night’s gas explosion at Madina Atomic Junction, which has killed 5 people and left scores injured.
Nana Addo who is currently in the Northern Region on a three-day tour took to his official Facebook page to express sadness over the calamity.

“The news of last night’s gas explosion at Atomic Junction, resulting in the loss of 7 lives and injuries to several others, has left me devastated. My deepest condolences to the families of the bereaved, and I wish the injured speedy recovery. I have dispatched the Vice President to the scene of the tragedy this morning,” he said.
He indicated that his government will do everything to ensure “such an incident does not occur again.”
