The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume, has called on stakeholders, party faithful, and Nigerians to support the re-election bid of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, citing the administration’s commitment to national development and economic reforms under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
Akume made the call while addressing All Progressives Congress (APC) delegates, stakeholders, and supporters during separate meetings held in Wanune, Makurdi South, and Makurdi Central in Benue State ahead of the party’s presidential primaries.
According to the SGF, President Tinubu’s administration has demonstrated courage and determination through policies and reforms aimed at repositioning Nigeria for sustainable growth and long-term prosperity.

He urged party members and supporters to remain united and resist distractions from critics, stressing that the President means well for the country and deserves another term to consolidate ongoing reforms.
“This is a period that requires support, cooperation, and unity of purpose from all stakeholders,” Akume stated, adding that the achievements recorded by the administration within a relatively short period reflect the President’s resolve to build a stronger and more resilient nation.
Speaking on education reforms, Akume highlighted the establishment of the Nigerian Education Fund (NELFUND), describing it as a landmark initiative and one of the first of its kind in Africa. He said the programme demonstrates the Federal Government’s commitment to ensuring access to quality education and opportunities for Nigerian students.
Also speaking at the Makurdi Central meeting, Senator Jack Tilley-Gyado said the gathering was aimed at mobilising support for President Tinubu ahead of the APC presidential primaries.
He assured Akume and the President of the delegates’ unwavering support to enable the continuation of the Renewed Hope Agenda.
