Alex Iwobi’s lone strike lands Nigeria in Russia

A 74th-minute strike from substitute Alex Iwobi against the Chipolopolo of Zambia has earned Nigeria a ticket to the 2018 World Cup holding in Russia.

Iwobi, who came in for Moses Simon, also scored in the first leg in Ndola.

With the victory, the Super Eagles became the first African team to advance to Russia after taking an unassailable lead atop Group B. It will be their sixth World Cup finals appearance.
