World number two dons wig and glasses to serve ice cream to fans in America
Often criticised for his hotheadedness, Andy Murray has found a new way of keeping his ‘cool’.

The world number two took time out from his US Open preparations to serve ice cream to one lucky fan in Cincinnati, Ohio.

American tennis fan, Julie Boniface, got an unexpected surprise when the former Wimbledon champion, disguised with wig, glasses and baseball cap, took her order on a blistering day at the Cincinnati Masters.

After Murray revealed his true identity, the British number one posed for selfies with the starstruck American fan, who took to Twitter to celebrate her unexpected encounter.

A spokesman for Murray said: ‘Andy is in Cincinnati for the tournament and was just larking about in disguise to see if people could recognise him.’

The 28-year-old Scot is taking part in the Cincinnati Masters just days after beating world number one, Novak Djokovic, for the first time since 2013.
