A former State Secretary of the APC in Lagos State, Primate Charles Odugbesi, praised the numerous achievements of the Majority Leader and expressed his support for Agunbiade’s quest for a chance to continue representing the people of the constituency. “He has performed well as a legislator and he has been a great party member. He is loved by the people and as you can see, they want him to do more,” Odugbesi said.

Also soeaking, Alhaji Abduljelil Amokomowo, former Organising Secretary of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state, marveled at “how much Agunbiade has been able to achieve as the representative of the constituency.” According to the politician, “Ikorodu has never had it so good.” He concluded that “if SOB is allowed to return to the assembly in 2023, it will be to the greatest good of our town. This man is a performing legislator. No doubt about that.”

Here is a lawmaker reviving our dying cultures. A lot of people from Ikorodu have been employed through Agunbiade’s efforts. A lot of infrastructures have come to us because of him. We will not change the performer in Ikorodu Constituency 1. We will appreciate Agunbiade’s services by returning him to the assembly once more,” Abiodun Iyiola, a former APC chairman in the LGA added.

Residents and party faithful from Ikorodu Central, Ikorodu North and Ikorodu West council areas took time to openly endorse Agunbiade’s re-election bid. Speaking at the event, the lawmaker, who reeled out his many achievements, thanked the people of Ikorodu for always reposing their trust in him and promised to do more when re-elected.

“Like many of you here, I am looking the larger picture, a picture of a greater Ikorodu, which we will achieve if we continue on this path. We have done much, but there is still more we can do if we do this together again in 2023. My desire to remain in the house is beyond a personal ambition, it is an ambition with Ikorodu in mind,” he said.
