The Enugu West senatorial candidate under the platform of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the just concluded presidential and national assembly elections 2019, Barr Juliet Ibekaku has blamed the party internal opposition members over the party failure in Enugu State.

Barr Juliet in a statement issued to LEADERSHIP said a memberĀ of her party, APC who lost primaries to her connived with Senator Ike Ekweremadu and other members of the opposition party PDP to work against her senatorial interest, and the APC as a whole.

According to her before the elections the party member of her party APC whose name was not mentioned openly canvassed that people should not vote for her and APC in an election that held on the same day and time with that of Mr President.

ā€œOn the day of election our party member took money from Senator Ekweremadu and openly distributed to our party agents to cooperate with the Ekweremadu team on whatever plot they may come up with during the election.

ā€œI cannot imagine that level of wickedness and bitterness for a man that did not only benefit from our party and Mr. President but also from me in most unique manner noting that the greatest problem APC had in Enugu state was internal opposition to itself and such enemies within really succeeded. I do hope the national leadership would take appropriate steps,ā€ she added.

She further demonstrated that, this same man has not cautioned himself in the most destructive manner he has also admonished the national chairman of our party, Adams Oshomole openly at the slightest opportunity. HeĀ called her and the national chairman unprintable names. God! Yet he kept deceiving those who listens to him that he loves Mr. President.

ā€œMost recently I heard him say that he was suspended by the party because the time has come for Mr. President to rejig his cabinet. That’s really the wailing of a clown. I live him to God,ā€ she added.

The former presidential aid gave thanks to Ndi Enugu West senatorial zone and the APC as a whole in Enugu state for their massive support throughout the campaign period, even though they were not allowed to exercise their franchise during voting as there was no election held in Enugu state, especially in Enugu West senatorial zone.

My major opponent, Senator Ike Ekweremadu was also not man enough to allow the two of us in particular genuinely test of our popularity but he resorted to what has been their tradition; thumb-printing of ballot papers and writing of election results in their houses in connivance with INEC officials because he knew I would defeat him in a free and fair election but I will seek redress in court if am able to gather necessary evidence that would enable me prosecute the case in court.
