APC Wins All NASS Seats In Niger

The All Progressives Congress, APC has won all the three senatorial and House of Representatives seats in Niger state.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), has also  officially declared Dr. Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as winner of the senatorial election for Niger North district.

Sabi polled 161,420 to defeat Muhammad Sani Duba of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who got 77,109  in a result declared at the Senatorial Collation Center, FCE Kontagora by Prof Musa Matthew Kolo, the  Returning Officer

Also, for Niger South, Alhaji Bima Mohammed Enagi of the All Progressives Congress has been declared winner with a total of 160,614 votes to defeat the closest candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Shehu Baba Agaie who got 90,978 votes.

In Niger East, Mohammed Sani Musa was declared  winner  with a total of 229,415 votes to beat his Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) counterpart, Barrister Ishaku Ibrahim who got 116,143 as declared by the returning officer, Prof Audu Jiga

Similarly, Shehu Slow  of APC won the House of representative for Magam /Rijau after scoring 39,889 votes as against  Garba Dukku of PDP who scored 23,747 votes; for Borgu /Agwara federal constituency, Jafaru Mohammed Agwara of APC scored 32,840 votes to defeat Abdulrahman Bala Gambo of PDP who scored  20,357 votes.

Others are: Bida/Katcha /Gbako constituency where APC’s Abdullahi Saidu Musa scored 57,746 votes to defeat Sharu Mohammed Baba who got 37, 993 votes. In Suleja /Gurara/Tafa constituency, the incumbent, Abubakar Lado Suleja of APC won with 54, 224 votes as against PDP’s 38,732 votes

Mohammed Bago, another incumbent of APC won the Chanchaga federal constituency with 39,391 votes as against PDP candidate, Abdullah Buba who scored 17,860 votes.The remaining three of Lapai /Agaie, Edati/Mokwa,Lavun  and  Kontagora /Mashegu/Mariga / Wushishi constituencies are being awaited but there are strong indications that APC will take them.
