The Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja has affirmed the suspension of Adams Oshiomhole as the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Recall that Oshiomhole had approached the appellate court following a ruling by an FCT High Court on March 4, which granted an application by six members of the APC in Edo State seeking his suspension from office.

Justice Danlami Senchi had ordered that Oshiomhole to step down as APC Chairman pending the determination of the substantive suit seeking his perpetual removal.

However, a three-member panel of the Appeal Court led by Justice Monica Dongban-Mensem, Tuesday, upheld the High Court judgement.

The panel held that the former Edo State Governor appeal challenging his suspension was unmeritorious.
