The Academic Staff Union of Secondary Schools (ASUSS), Ogun State Chapter, has congratulated the Executive Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, on the occasion of his 66th birthday anniversary, describing him as a visionary and transformational leader whose administration has continued to reposition the state for sustainable growth and development.
In a statement signed by the State Chairman of ASUSS Ogun State Chapter and National Public Relations Officer of ASUSS, Comrade Dr. Felix Oluwaseun Agbesanwa, the union praised Governor Abiodun for his purposeful leadership, administrative wisdom and unwavering commitment to people-oriented governance.
According to the statement, the governor’s impact has been widely felt across critical sectors including education, infrastructure, workers’ welfare, industrial development and security, noting that his administration has consistently demonstrated dedication to the progress and economic advancement of Ogun State.
The union particularly commended Governor Abiodun for his support for teachers and the education sector, describing his relationship with ASUSS as cordial and productive.
“Your friendly disposition towards ASUSS and responsiveness to issues affecting teachers and students have further strengthened industrial harmony and educational advancement in our dear state,” the statement read.

ASUSS further noted that history would remain favourable to the governor for his investments in human capital development and his recognition of teachers as vital partners in nation-building.
The union also expressed support for Governor Abiodun’s political aspirations towards representing Ogun East Senatorial District, praying for greater wisdom, sound health, strength and divine favour for him to achieve more successes in service to the people.
“As you continue your political journey and aspirations towards representing the good people of Ogun East Senatorial District, which proudly remains my constituency, we pray that Almighty God grants you greater wisdom, sound health, strength and divine favour for greater accomplishments ahead,” Agbesanwa stated.
ASUSS additionally appealed to Governor Abiodun, in his capacity as Chairman of the Southwest Governors’ Forum, to intervene in the situation involving abducted teachers and students in Oyo State.
The union expressed confidence in the governor’s leadership and influence to work with relevant authorities towards ensuring the safe and speedy release of the victims.
“Nothing will gladden the hearts of education stakeholders more than seeing our colleagues and innocent students reunited safely with their families,” the statement added.
The union concluded by celebrating Governor Abiodun’s legacy of service, humility and impactful leadership, while wishing him greater peace, renewed strength and more remarkable achievements in the years ahead.
