Atiku Emerges PDP Presidential Candidate

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has picked the presidential ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, with a resounding victory at the just concluded party convention in Port Harcourt,  the Rivers State capital.

He scored a total of 1, 532 votes ahead of his closest rival, Sokoto state governor,  Aminu Tambuwal who got 693 votes.

Senate President Bukola Saraki came third with 317 votes.
