Atiku Warns Security Agencies Against Interference In Politics.

The people’s Democratic Party (PDP) presidential flag bearer, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has warned various security agencies in Nigeria against interference in politics.

Addressing crowd of supporters at the PDP presidential campaign rally yesterday at the Ramat Square in Maiduguri, Alhaji Abubakar warned that the trend if not checkmated would scare away the electorates from voting people of their choice on elections days.

The PDP Presidential hopeful said:” Security agencies should stop interfering in politics for the good of democracy. They should please allow people to vote candidates of their choice.

“I will restore peace and security in the Northeast and return all internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) to their respective local government areas, and assist them in agricultural production, in addition to various means of employment, if elected as president.

“All of you know me for who I am. I am not a joker, nor fearful and I mean every word that I have told you today’,  Alhaji Atiku added.

Earlier speaking, the PDP National Chairman, Prince Uche secondus, had alleged that President Muhammadu Buhari was interfering in the election, with the posting of police and military officers to ‘rig’ the elections.

He said Atiku Abubakar has the capacity and experience to move the country forward, adding that PDP administration, when elected will focus on security, job creation and improvement of the economy.

He presented the party’s flag to the gubernatorial candidate, Alhaji Muhammad Imam.

Alhaji Imam thanked party supporters for coming out en-mass to accord the Presidential candidate a rousing welcome.

Gombe state governor, Ibrahim Dankwambo was among PDP dignitaries that grace the campaign rally.
