The city of Vienna stood still on Friday 30th of January 2026 to celebrate DCI Ammani Mohammed on the occasion of his decoration as a Deputy Comptroller of Nigeria Immgration service.
The decorating ceremony which took place inside the conference hall of the Nigeria mission in Vienna, Austria was witnessed by prominent personalities from all over the world. This is in attestation of the good services rendered by the newly promoted officer.

The international community was well represented.They were lead by the Secretary General of OPEC his Excellency Dr Haitham Algais. The immediate family of the celebrant were not left out of the celebration as Hajia Ammani stood farm beside her loving husband same with the children.
The head of mission and charge de affairs of the Nigeria Embassy Mr Muyiwa Onifade decorated the new Deputy Comptroller of Nigeria immgration with his new rank. He was assisted by the OPEC Secretary General Dr Haitham Algais.
The occasion was witnessed by officers and staff of Nigeria Embassy in Austria and members of Vienna based international organisations, including many prominent members of Nigeria community in Austria. Many executive members of Austria – Nigeria friendship association were also in attendance. We congratulate the newly promoted officer for his achievements.
It is indeed a well-deserved promotion. He has turned the immgration department of the Nigeria Embassy around positively since his arrival in Vienna 3 years ago.
