After the third week of hostilities at the ongoing My Family Mobile Primary and Secondary School Rugby League, Avi Cenna Secondary School, Ikeja and Chrisland Primary School, Opebi are already topping the table with 14 and seven points respectively.

The matches, which were hosted by British International School Oniru at the weekend, witnessed over six boys and girls’ schools competing for honours in the senior and junior level.

At the end of the third week games, each of the schools’ teams in a solidarity message, carried billboards and snapped photos, calling on the Federal Government to hasting the release of the over 100 Dapchi school girls abducted by Boko Haram in Yobe State.

Excited by the performance of the children, coordinator of the league, Seyi Opanubi said My Family Mobile was delighted that more schools were interested in encouraging their students to play rugby.

He added that the company would continue to sponsor and nurture school children on the rudiments of the sport, saying that the all schools rugby development programme would build in the children ability to go for whatever they needed to be champions in anything they do in life.

“My family Mobile is delighted that the games are moving on without hitches. The coaches are also happy that the children are learning fast based on the skills they displayed on the pitch.

“The children also used the opportunity of the league to call on the government to help in seeking immediate release of the Dapchi school girls kidnapped by Boko Haram. More matches would hold this month,” he said.
