Balogun Market: Goods Worth Millions Of Naira Lost To Fire Outbreak.

There was a fire outbreak at Balogun Market in the early hours of Tuesday, November 5, 2019.

According to NAN’s report, one Brasas Plaza on Martins street had an electrical fault on it’s fifth floor which led to the fire outbreak. It was also discovered that this same building, had in previous years witnessed such fire outbreaks, especially when the year is coming to an end.

Traders had to quickly evacuate their shops as the inferno spread.The traders of the market have lamented about the inability of fire fighters to quickly put out the fire. The fire has been burning goods for over 10 hours.

Unfortunately, this is the third fire outbreak in a Nigerian market in two weeks. There have been fire outbreaks in Onitsha and Maiduguri markets in the last fortnight.
