Team Nigeria’s athletics team members are expected to arrive Rabat, where the 12th All African Games is holding, today (Wednesday).
Though Big Brother Nigeria’s housemate, Mike Edward, could have been one of Nigeria’s athletes at the competition, his participation in the reality show stopped him.
It was learnt that he could not also participate in the National Trials organised by the Athletics Federation of Nigeria as qualification for Rabat 2019.
However, Nigeria is going to the competition with a future star, Best Ehihire, who recently set a new record of 2.12m in high jump.

Nigeria’s athletics team go into the competition with the continent’s record holders.
Among them are Blessing Okagbare, Divine Oduduru, Blessing Okagbare, Tobi Amusan, Ese Brume, Chukwuebuka Enekwechi, Edose Ibadin, Dorrn Amata and Chidi Okezie.
The country also present a 4x100m relay team having Seye Ogunlewe with a personal best of 10.11secs, Raymond Ekevwo 10.02secs, Oduduru 9.86secs, Usheoritse Itsekiri 10.07secs, and Enoch Adegoke 10.12secs.
Both Okagbare and Amusan have promised to give their best and make Nigeria proud again.
