Promising gold enthusiasts an unforgettable experience today, the chief host of the tournament, Kingsley Ehi Okunbo, who is the MD/CEO of Vision Air Products, expressed satisfaction with the turnout of golfers taking part in the tournament, saying the tournament has leaved up to expectation.

Okunbo, the younger brother of the celebrant, who is also a big player in the medical and industrial gas sector, remarked that N5 million earmarked as prize money for the professional golfers was the highest in the history of the professional golf in Nigeria, adding that various other prizes would be awarded to players that distinguish themselves at the event.

Among competitions slated for the closing day is the amateur men’s handicap 0-17 and ladies handicap 0-28, as well as the professional final, which will eventually herald the closing and presentation of prizes later in the evening.

“We have witnessed some interesting golfing action since Monday when the caddy category began through Tuesday. The professionals will take the centre stage on Saturday for their final match. “On Friday, the men’s handicap 18-28, men super veterans, men and ladies veterans as well as ladies handicap 29-36 had their field day that determined the winners in these categories.

“So, today, being the final day, the guests ladies and special guests will open the day by 6.30 a.m., just after the amateur men handicap 0-17 and ladies handicap 0-28 follow in the same order. The professionals will have their final match day immediately after the ladies. After the professionals, prizes would be awarded to outstanding players in the evening,” he said.
