Kyler Bourgeous decided to take Kayleigh Davis to the same state park in Utah for a romantic evening to watch the sun go down.
However soon when they arrived at the place where he was attacked, Kayleigh was suddenly charged by a bison and flipped into the air shattering her ankle.
The attack happened in Antelope Island State Park where Kyler suffered a cracked rib and collapsed lung in his attack in June.
Witnesses reported seeing a bison strike Kayleigh with its head “lifting her off the ground” before goring her leg.
The 22-year-old was later airlifted to hospital in Ogden, Utah, reports the BBC.
She told the BBC she had run ahead of Kyler on the trail when she saw the bison.
Kayleigh said: “I looked over my shoulder, seeing it get closer – and I looked again and it was pretty much right behind me. Right as I saw it, I flew up in the air 15ft.”

Later, as she lay in her hospital bed, she discovered the bison’s horn had gone through her ankle.
Kyler, 30, later told the Washington Post: “I thought my situation was just a freak accident, but apparently, they’re a lot more aggressive than I ever thought.”
The bison’s horns gored his hip and armpit, fracturing a rib which then collapsed his lung.
The animal then trampled him and kicked his head.
Kyler had to use a drain in his hip for several weeks because the goring had left an internal hole.
However, despite his ordeal he says he still believes there is “something special” about the beauty of the park.
Kayleigh says she has been having nightmares about the attack, but otherwise feels “pretty happy and positive” and wants to get outside again soon.
She adds that she has talked with a park ranger about possibly volunteering at the visitors centre, but “it might take a minute” before she’s fully ready for that.
