The Governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Ganduje, on Sunday, paid a condolence visit to the chairman of the All Progressives Congress in the state, Ahmadu Danzago, who lost his elder brother on Saturday.

This was disclosed by Ganduje’s aide on New Media, Abubakar Ibrahim, who revealed that the Governor was accompanied on the visit by some members of his cabinet.

Danzago emerged chairman of the party in the state after a state congress conducted by former state governor, Ibrahim Shekarau, on October 18, 2021.

Ganduje and his loyalists had on the same day organised a parallel congress that produced Abdullahi as chairman.

The congress by Shekarau’s faction was, however, upheld by the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, as the authentic congress. This led to the emergence of Danzago as APC chairman in Kano.
