Burial rites for Odogwu begins January 16

The family of the late Chief Sony Iwedike Odogwu, the Ide Ahaba of Asaba, Delta State, has announced the funeral rites of the businessman, who passed on November 5, last year. 

According to a statement issued by the family in Asaba, the funeral activities would commence in Lagos on January 16 with service of songs and night of tributes at 4, Way Point Road, Victoria Island, Lagos from 5pm to 9pm.

There would be lying-in-state on January 18 at his 54, Queen’s Drive, Ikoyi residence from 8am to 9am, followed by a Requiem Mass at the Assumpta Catholic Church, Kingsway road, Falomo from 10am.

Funeral activities in Delta State commence in Asaba on January 24 with the service of songs at St. Patrick’s Parish on Nnebisi road from 5pm to 7pm; lying-in-state at Ide Ahaba Villa on King’s Street, Umuaji Quarters from 8am to 9am, followed by the funeral Mass and interment at St. Patrick’s Parish at 10am. The statement said venue for the reception would be announced in due course.
