A renowned socialite and businesswoman, Princess Khadijat Abike Adebisi Edionseri, popularly known as “Cash Madam,” has passed away at the age of 89.

She died on Sunday evening, January 5, 2025, in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, following a brief illness.

In a statement released by the family, her funeral will be held at her residence in Abeokuta GRA on Monday, January 6, 2025, at 4:00 PM, in line with Islamic rites.

The family’s statement reads:
“With deep gratitude to Allah for a life well-lived, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Princess Khadijat Abike Adebisi Edionseri (née Elegbede), who returned to her Creator on January 5, 2025, at the age of 89, following a brief illness.

“Her life was a shining example of grace, dignity, and unwavering faith. She touched many lives with her wisdom, kindness, and dedication to family and community. She taught us the values of love, resilience, and faith in Allah, leaving behind a lasting legacy that will continue to inspire generations.”

Princess Edionseri held several honorary titles during her lifetime, including the First Iya Suna of Ogun State, Iya Suna of Egbaland and Yewaland, Iyalaje of Egbaland and Yewaland, Bobare of Ijebuland, and Yeye Oba of both Joga and Ota.

Known for her philanthropy and community service, she will be remembered for her significant contributions to society and her unwavering faith.
