A two days workshop on Tye and Dye was organised as part of the activities marking the celebration of Chief Nike Okundaye at 72 as well as the 55th years of exhibiting, promoting traditional and contemporary African Art in Osogbo.
The workshop organised by Centre for Black Culture and International Understanding, Abere, Osogbo, Osun State took place on 18th and 19th May, 2023. In attendance were six schools within the state, while 80 Secondary School Students participated in the program.
The Resource Persons, Oyeniyi Tolu and Raji Lilian Tolulope of the National Commission for Museums and Monuments tutored the students on Tye and Dye, Adire with practical demonstration during the workshop. Students that participated were awarded certificates after the program.
