The Chairman of Katcha Local Government Area in Niger State, Danlami Saku, has reportedly died in a car crash, while two other occupants sustained injuries.
The State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Muazu Jantabo, confirmed the incident in a statement on Wednesday.
According to him, Saku reportedly died near Kwakuti village on the Minna-Suleja road on Tuesday evening.
He was travelling to Abuja for a function with two other occupants in his car.
