Mr Mike Osatuyi, the Group Managing Director of Chance Oil on Thursday debunked the media report associating its company with Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose.
Osatuyi said that the closure of the station was due to approval fees from Ogun State Government and not sealed due to their purported link with Fayose.
The GMD Chance oil said that the closure was done by Ogun State Government and not by Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC).
He said that “Chance Oil’’ has no connection with Gov. Fayose. He urged media to verify their facts before publication.
“I will not hesitate to level charges against any media who allow them to be used by some disgruntle element and enemy of business growth.
“I urged Nigerian journalist to engage in investigative journalism rather than involving in peddling wrong information that was not confirmed.
According to Osatuyi, “I don’t have any connection whatsoever with Gov. Fayose. The station was sealed by Ogun State Government on the account of non-payment of permit. It has nothing to do with EFCC.
“ The `‘Chance Oil’ which is located at Lambe, Akute area of Ogun State is owned by me and not Fayose.
It will recalled that Thisday on Thursday page 52 said that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) was on Wednesday said to have sealed off a fuel station purportedly belonging to the Governor of Ekiti, Ayodele Fayose.
According to report, the filling station was said to have been sealed off by operatives of the commission for reasons yet unknown.
