Popular Anti-corruption human rights activist and writer, Chido Onumah has been awarded the 51st JOAN XXIII MEMORIAL FOR PEACE PRIZE.

He was awarded this prize by La Unipau (Universitat Internacional de la Pau) and Institut Victor Seix de Polemologia for his immense contribution to the defense of Human Rights and Democracy in Africa.
Chido Onumah is a fearless human rights activist and accomplished writer. He is the author of “WE ARE ALL BIAFRANS”, a book that analyses the myriad of challenges facing Nigeria.
In October 2019, Chido Onumah was detained by state agents for wearing a t-shirt with the inscription “We are all Biafrans” written on it.
