The General Overseer of the Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Movement, TLCCRM, Pastor Lazarus Muoka has urged media owners in Nigeria to use their media organsations as platforms for propagating the gospel of Jesus Christ, as well as publishing and making the truth their watchword at all times so as to inherit the kingdom of God.
Giving this charge at the ministry’s 2018 national media week celebration, tagged “The role of the mass media in actualizing our visions and mandate” held recently at the conference hall, Chosen Revival Ground, Ijesha, Lagos, Muoka urged media owners and practitioners to ensure that they remain instruments of change in the society.
“All men are created for God’s pleasure, therefore, they should bow to the will of God. As media owners, they should make sure that their organization should be a platform to preach the gospel and spread the good news. They shouldn’t endorse bad things, they should ensure that the truth be told always and they shall be blessed.
“Even what they are looking negatively, they shall have it in the positive. They shall be blessed as long as they believe and dwell in the truth. God will bless them and give them heaven at the end of this life. They should remain an instrument of change in our dying society. If the press is caged, the world is finished. If the Antichrist as it is now continues to capture the press, then the world is finished. Let us help our generation. Where ever you are, you must see the need to propagate the gospel of the kingdom and the Lord will bless you”, he said.
On what prompted the programme which is the first in the history of the ministry, the G.O. said the situation in the Nigerian society has made so many people in the media partial whereby their stories are becoming one-sided.

“We had to organize this programme to let the people in the media know the need to propagate the truth at all times. The truth may appear bitter, but it is the will of God that we report the truth. We also want to use this avenue to enlighten our media group also to publish the church’s activities through every avenue, including modern technology to make sure that the gospel is spread all over the world.
“Jesus mandated that the gospel be preached all over the world. Thank God, through the social media, it becomes easier. We have to enlighten our members and the press at large, to help to spread the gospel all over the world. To fulfill the word of God because all of us are created for God’s pleasure so, we need to do this”, he said.
On fake news and its effect especially as it regards to the church, the pastor said: “People should carry any fake news against me, it doesn’t affect or bother me because in the days of Jesus, Christ, he (Jesus) was also accused wrongly. Fake news was also carried against him. The Pharisees, the Sahendrin, all those who never believed in Christ turned everything he did against him.
“So, it doesn’t actually mean anything to me. But then, we have to understand that everything has its reward. If you indulge in fake news, automatically, you can’t be saved and if you can’t be saved, your purpose of being born into this world is completely futile. In this world you suffer a lot, you loose favour with God. It is good to propagate the good news so you can benefit from the saving grace of God. You would also have the hope of making heaven at the end of this life. Evil news doesn’t help the bearer at all”, he emphasised.
On how often the programme would come and its being in tandem with the press, he said: “I give praise to God Almighty for enabling the ministry to have this programme. For the continuity, we shall discuss with the department in charge to be able to know whether it will be an annual affair; we have to arrive at that conclusion with them.”
While rating the programme, the G.O. said from all reports gathered, the programme has had impact on so many. He added that the view of people who have been one-sided has changed.
“It has been a wonderful time and experience for me. I believe it has been the same for every one involved”, he said.
The three-day programme paraded professionals in the media and ICT sectors who delivered insightful lectures at the event.
