• Oxlade-Chamberlain set to join Chelsea
• Sanchez heads to Man City, Gibbs moves to West Brom

What appears a treble raid against Arsenal is in the pipeline. Midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is close to joining Premier League champions Chelsea for £40m, just as Manchester City want to sign forward Alexis Sanchez before tomorrow’s transfer deadline. On the other hand, West Brom are close to completing the signing of left-back Kieran Gibbs from the club.

The England player, Oxlade-Chamberlain, 24, will be out of contract next summer and has refused to sign a new deal at Emirates Stadium.

Oxlade-Chamberlain is yet to decide if he wants to join Chelsea or Liverpool, but as things stand the only firm offer Arsenal have received is from Chelsea.

Arsenal want a deal for the former Southampton midfielder completed as quickly as possible.

The midfielder would be Chelsea’s fifth major signing of the summer following the arrivals of striker Alvaro Morata, goalkeeper Willy Caballero, defender Antonio Rudiger and midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko.

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte had made it clear he wanted to add further to his squad before the transfer window closes tomorrow.

Like Oxlade-Chamberlain, forward Alexis Sanchez and midfielder Mesut Ozil are also out of contract next summer.
Speaking to BBC Radio 5 live on Monday, Gunners legend Ian Wright said the club are in “crisis from top to bottom”, and manager Wenger should leave.

Also, Manchester City want to sign Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez before tomorrow’s transfer deadline.

The Chile international hit 24 Premier League goals for Arsene Wenger’s side last season but is out of contract next summer and is yet to agree a new contract at Emirates Stadium.
