College teacher wins Opera News World Cup, promo car

A college teacher, Tiamiyu Olamilekan has won the Opera News ‘Shake and Win’ FIFA World Cup campaign, which reward is a 2018 GAC GA35 car.

The 28-year-old Olamilekan was presented with the car in a private event at GAC car dealership at Ligali Ayorinde Street, Victoria Island recently.

Speaking on the campaign that began at the start of the World Cup in Russia, Global Head, Marketing and Distribution at Opera, Jorgen Arnesen said, “we are happy to present our last car winner and we are glad to celebrate with him and all our users the end of a very successful campaign in Nigeria.

“The results speak for themselves as we have registered more than 45 million shakes during one month and a half in the country.

“We believe that through our Shake and Win competition, we have added value to the everyday lives of our users in Nigeria, as we gave away more than $125 in prizes,” said Arnesen.

He added: “We are also happy to see that we were able to reward more than 300, 000 users in Nigeria, which means that we were rewarding an estimate of 10,000 people everyday.”

For Olamilekan, winning the Opera News car has been an exciting experience that has changed his life. He also reveals his intension of using the app to change the lives of his students.

“It felt so great when I knew I was the winner and I am still really excited about it.

“I download Opera News because I wanted to read news and also enlighten my students about things happening in the world.”
