Already well established as an entrepreneur in Nigeria before advancing her business in the United States of America, the humour merchant made her new venture known via her Instagram account as she posted several pictures of beautiful African wears, handbags, accessories, hats, interior decor materials and several other assorted items in the boutique.

It was also gathered that the multi-talented entertainer and academician who is a PhD holder at the University of Lagos, lectures on an ad hoc basis in the United States.

Speaking with The PUNCH on her new venture, Helen Paul noted that she was inspired to open the boutique because she has a passion for promoting the Nigerian culture.

She said, “In most of the things I do in life, I always have it at the back of my mind to promote the Nigerian and African culture. Even with my comedy, I ensure that I project Nigeria in a good light. Moreso, we are in a digital age where people are much interested in cultural exchange.

Also, the idea to open the stores came to me when I realised that anytime I wear Nigerian attires, people in the US are always dazzled and interested in getting a replica of my outfit. With this in mind, I decided to open the stores.”

“With this in mind, I believe that I can further push Nigeria as a brand, sensitise people about our great nation and, with my outfits, ‘preach the gospel of Nigeria’.
