LOSING Idols finalist Mthokozisi Ndaba was arrested earlier this week and swiftly released on a warning, the Sunday Tribune can reveal.

Last Saturday, Ndaba, who lost the Idols title in the final to Paxton Fielies of Cape Town, was arrested on Thursday night before being released in the early hours of Friday.
Sergeant Mduduzi Zondo, a spokesperson for the police at the Hillbrow Police Station, said the Durbanite would appear in court on Monday on the assault charges leveled at him for the alleged assault of 21-year-old Neo Tsele, who was beaten allegedly with fists and slammed onto a wall at a Braamfontein apartment.
Ndaba this week called on his followers to take a stand against violence against women and children abuse.
“I plead with TeamMthokozisi & everyone to not attack the complainant on social media. We do not know what issues she may be dealing with. Please Mzansi. Let us continue taking a stand against violence on women and children (sic),” he said on Instagram this week.

Ndaba lost the Idols 2017 competition to Cape Town’s Paxton Fielies and stormed off the stage, ditching a planned media conference.
