A 34-year-old woman, Elizabeth Egbe, has accused her husband, Aaron Peter, 35, of abandoning her because of her inability to get pregnant for him.
The woman told an Idi-Ogungun Customary Court, Agodi, Ibadan, on Monday that her husband of two years was insensitive to her condition.
“He prefers spending his time and money on his others family members rather than find ways of making me pregnant.
“The worst thing is that he abandoned me in his family house and left for an unknown destination.

“The court should separate us because I can’t live in the family house without him anymore,” the petitioner pleaded.
Responding, Peter refuted the allegations, but urged the court to dissolve the marriage.
He said that the plaintiff was abusive and disrespectful.
He told the court that he secured a job for her to guard against idleness but she turned down the offer.
“I abandoned her in the family house because she refused to follow me to Lagos, where I work.
“I support the dissolution because she once told me that her pastor warned her not to travel outside Ibadan.”
The President of the court, Chief Mukaila Balogun, dissolved the marriage and ordered parties to maintain the peace.
