Bello adjourned the case until Aug. 17 for further hearing.

Adeleke, whose address was not provided, is being tried on a two-count charge of criminal conspiracy and forgery.

The Prosecutor, Insp. Zacheaus Folorunsho, told the court that the defendant was arrested on July 2 following information received by the police.

Folorunsho alleged that the defendant conspired with one Abimbola Adeleke and opened a ledger in the name of a bank – Grooming Micro-Finance Bank Limited in Ilorin.

He said that the defendant and the other Adeleke now at large, duped innocent people to the tune of N15 million.

He alleged that the other Adeleke was the officer responsible for receiving cash and granting loans to customers.

Folorunsho said the offences contravened Sections 97 and 315 of the Penal Code.

The defendant, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges against him. (NAN)
