As Muslims all over the world celebrate Maulud Nabiyy which is the birthday of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), Lagos State Deputy Speaker, Hon Wasiu Eshilokun Sanni enjoins Muslim to embrace peace and love.

In his goodwill message to his people, he said: “We must use today to reflect, imbibe and uphold on the preachings of Prophet Muhammed who was an embodiment of virtues. He never discriminated among people on the basis of their colour, tribe, creed or social status; in the heydays of slavery, he advocated freedom of slaves; in an environment full of resentment and staunch opposition, he always adopted a forgiving approach, never avenging any wrong done to him.”

“He propagated cares for others, support the sick, feed the hungry and was really kind. He refrained from offensive names and encouraged responsible living and judicious utilization of natural resources like water even if we have limitless access.

The Deputy Speaker implore his people “to follow the good deeds of Prophet Muhammed, who touched lives positively and lived by good examples. May the Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon him”.
