The audacity to refers to ones self bombastically as an ‘Intellectual’ is quite laughable. It’s an incredible, needless effort of trying to convince us all you have a functioning brain. It’s a vivid mimicry of any Acme-hour episode of the ‘intellectually-gifted’ Marvin the Martian in one of his many battles with the very pragmatic and exuberantly wily Bugs Bunny. Such outlandishness is definitely cartoonish! We all know how Bugs made a legend for itself in the cool and calm manner he makes mincemeat of those self-revered ‘intellectual’ type anyway!
And by the way we all should endeavor, we must strive to protect the objective value of the noun ‘Genius’. It’s pretty obvious it is lately on its way to some kind of monumental devaluation. Don’t let us throw it around like the gravity-defying Yo-yo toy, or the fluently bouncing Nigerian currency; the Naira.
Ebulliently tagging yourself an Intellectual is the equivalent of jumping up so high to ‘high-five’ yourself! That’s pure, unbridled madness! And when they throw the word ‘Genius’ at you…son please gracefully duck it!”
