Disney Parks announced, via its blog, several changes to its park policies on Thursday that will take effect from the beginning of May.
The biggest shift is that there will no longer be designated smoking areas available inside Walt Disney World and Disneyland theme parks. There will however still be areas outside the entrances to the parks.
This rule also applies to Disney water parks, the ESPN Wide World of Sports complex in Florida and Downtown Disney in California. The use of e-cigarettes and vaping will also be banned inside parks.

There’s also a tweak coming to the park rules regarding the size of strollers used in the parks. In particular, the width allowed has been reduced from 36 inches to 31 inches. The announcement notes that “many” strollers still fit within this range. And the blog Walt Disney World News Today notes that even most double-wide joggers will still be allowed. The length permitted, 51 inches, will stay the same.
Kid-carrying wagons are also getting tossed, as they reportedly cause extra congestion in the parks.
Should families turn up at the theme park with strollers and wagons that don’t fit the parameters, they will be able to rent alternatives.
