DOAMF Charity Golf Tournament tees-off this weekend

The final of the 2018 Daniel Ogechi Akujobi Memorial (DOAM) Foundation Golf Tournament tees off on Saturday at the Golf Section of Ikoyi Club 1938 in Lagos, the organisers have announced.

As is now the tradition with this event, it enjoys tremendous patronage of golfers and corporate organizations, including PricewaterhouseCoopers, Diamond Bank Plc, ARM Pension Managers, Radial Circle Group, Zenith Bank Plc, SEPLAT Petroleum, Channels Television, Silverbird Television, Grand OAK, Cappa & D’Alberto, SPAR (Park N’ Shop), Fidelity Bank Plc, Victoria Crown Plaza, Ikoyi Club 1938, Protea Hotel, Wheatbaker Hotel, Four Points by Sheraton and many more.

Over 180 players, made up of those that made the cut at the January 6, 2018 qualifier and invited guests are expected to compete for top prizes, including the 2018 champion of the DOAM Foundation Charity Golf Tournament.

The coordinator of the event, Mr. Pat Bassey at the weekend disclosed “the golf course will be especially challenging this time around given the ongoing reconstruction work on two of the holes but, we have worked with the golf course management to ensure players have an enjoyable golfing experience.”

He also assured of a tournament day experience, which has become one of the hallmarks of this tournament.

The coordinator added, “We will also use this opportunity to appreciate those corporate organizations, groups and individuals, who continue to support, this golf event, in order to enable the Foundation to continue to touch the lives of the indigent and underserved in the society – who are the ultimate beneficiaries of this  event.
