Former Super Eagles player, Mutiu Adepoju, has charged the team not to underestimate the Argentine star, Lionel Messi, as Nigeria battles the South America side in the last group game of the 2018 World Cup today.

Adepoju, who noted that Argentina would be approaching the game fighting like wounded lions, stated that Messi would be coming out well motivated in the final group encounter based on the criticisms he and his teammates have received after Argentina’s woeful performance in their two group games.

He noted that the Eagles should go the extra mile to curtail the aggression of the Argentine team, saying that the match will be a decider on which team will qualify alongside Croatia for the second round.

The former Racing Santander of Spain player also said that the Eagles could succeed in the game if the players are tactically disciplined and hungry for victory.

“The game against Argentina would be tough. Argentina would be playing for honour based on their poor performance in their last two games.
