Doris Oke Memejohwo (Evangelist Doris O Praise), a gospel artist, is set to launch her album titled, What is Life? She will also hold prayers and praise concert for the nation titled, Massive Praise to God on October 1, as part of events marking the country’s Independence Day celebrations. Doris O said, “I have been holding this crusade concert titled, Massive Praise to God and prayers for our nations and ourselves with my team since 2014.”

She noted, “we hold it three times in a year, sometimes, twice. This year’s venue is Lagos, but last year, Port Harcourt hosted us. The aim of the programme is to come together in love and faith to praise God, because He has kept us alive. The beauty of this year’s concert is the album launch, which will come alongside the show tomorrow.”

The album has seven tracks, which include, What is Life, Pray for Nigeria, Father We praise You, Hallelujah, Ogheneme, The name of the Lord and Your Love.

On what inspired her to come out with the album? She said, “my inspiration comes from God. I have been singing to the glory of God since when I was in higher institution. That was when I released my first song titled, Ogheneme, one of the tracks in this album. It was on air in Nigeria and some other African countries, such as Ghana, Cote d’Ivoire, South Africa and others. It enjoyed massive airplay everywhere.”

She continued, “I believe prayer is the key to the problems of this country, especially to bring us out of poverty, because our economy is in a critical situation. God is faithful to bless his children no matter what is going on in Nigeria; people should not lose hope in Him. I believe it is a good album and once people listen to it, there are God’s blessings and healings attached.”

It took her a month of serious work in the studio to put the songs together. Her words, “it has not been easy, because I do not have sponsors, but God said I should do it. To him be the glory, I have been working with the little resources I have. As a child of God, if He says do this and you did not do it, you’ll be having crisis.”
