Early morning rain has destroyed several electric poles and buildings in Oviorie-Ovu Community in Ethiope-East Local Government Area of Delta State.
The rain started with a heavy wind at about 4am on Sunday morning.
Following the destruction recorded, many indigenes and residents have been rendered homeless with the community now plunged into darkness as a result of the heavy wind.
Also affected by the heavy wind were produce plantations as well as crops.
The wind destroyed many farms in the Community.
