An Information Communication and Technology (ICT) organisation, Education First Nigeria (Edufirst.ng) has announced plans to equip Nigerian youths with the requisite skills needed for a knowledge-based economy.
Indeed, the firm said Nigeria’s quest for industrial growth required huge investments in technology and infrastructure, maintaining that empowering youths for a knowledge-based economy is vital to achieve an all-inclusive economy
The Co-Founder, Edufirst.ng, Moses Imayi, said developed economies of the world have moved up from where they were, by prioritising developmental efforts in their educational sector to achieve an all-inclusive economic growth through the use of technology.
Imayi at a media parley to sensitize the public on the need to raise the standard of education in Nigeria, stated that Edufirst.ng is a subsidiary of Skill media that provides a one-stop platform for teacher-student and stakeholders collaboration, digital learning, scholarship information and relevant education content.

He said currently, the firm has created about 24 experience centres in the six geopolitical zones to provide digital learning and experience to over 36,000 students across the country.
He added that Edufirst.ng with the help of its campaign scheduled to hold in Lagos and Abuja, is expected to drive awareness and conversations around access to quality education for all Nigerians, make provision of quality education topmost priority on government’s agenda as well as in that of the private sector.
He further said that the firm was working towards getting the endorsement of the government, community leaders, school administrators and all other key stakeholders on the need to embrace quality education.
“As a business, we are poised to reinforce the need for quality education in the Nigerian landscape. Hence, our decision to commence a campaign focused on raising the standard of education in Nigeria”, he explained.
He said Edufirst.ng being a technology driven organisation is focused on bridging the gap and enhancing the standard of education in Nigeria while advocating an all-inclusive education system.
“Our key advocacy drive is on the need to adopt digital learning in the Nigerian curricular and reinforce the need for quality education in Nigeria,” he averred.
