The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested former Minister of Power, Saleh Mamman, who had reportedly been on the run after his conviction on corruption-related charges.
EFCC Chairman, Ola Olukoyede, disclosed that the former minister was apprehended in Rigasa area of Kaduna State in the early hours of Tuesday.
According to Olukoyede, Mamman was arrested around 3 a.m. following intelligence tracking by operatives of the anti-graft agency.

The former minister had earlier been convicted and sentenced in absentia to 75 years imprisonment over allegations linked to financial misconduct during his tenure in office.
The EFCC is yet to release further details surrounding the arrest and the next legal steps regarding his transfer into custody.
The development marks a significant breakthrough for the commission in its efforts to enforce compliance with court judgments and pursue high-profile corruption cases.
