Kaduna State governor, Malam Nasir el-Rufai, has called on the people of the state to join hands together to develop the state, saying elections are over and it is time for governance.
The governor said he was not involved in any fatal accident as speculated by his critics.
el-Rufai, stated this at a reception organised by his wife, Arch Hadiza Isma el-Rufai, on Friday evening, in his honour to welcome him back from the short holiday abroad.
The governor said, “I repeat it for the sake of clarity, I was not involved in any accident and no one died.”
el-Rufai thanked the people of Kaduna State for their patience: “I am here to proof that I am still alive and have resurrected, not a clone but el-Rufai is alive.
“I am grateful for your votes for President Muhammadu Buhari and the governorship election by coming out in large numbers to vote for me and members of House of Assembly.”
He appealed to the leadership of state House of Assembly to maintain the leadership that had served the state diligently for the past four years to continue their good work.
“Kaduna State has always voted for President Buhari. Since he first contested in 2003, he has never lost Kaduna State, it is not a shock that he won the election this time. Anyone that says he has defeated the president is dreaming of being a president.”
