‘Elections Are Over, Let’s Unite To Develop Kaduna State’

el-Rufai, stated this at a reception organised by his wife, Arch Hadiza Isma el-Rufai, on Friday evening, in his honour to welcome him back from the short holiday abroad.

The governor said, “I repeat it for the sake of clarity,  I was not involved in any accident and no one died.”

el-Rufai thanked the people of Kaduna State for their patience: “I am here  to proof that I am still alive and have resurrected, not a clone but el-Rufai is alive.

“I am  grateful for your votes for President Muhammadu Buhari and the governorship election by coming out in large numbers to vote for  me and members of House of Assembly.”

He appealed to the leadership of state House of Assembly to maintain the leadership that had served the state diligently for the past four years to continue their good work.

“Kaduna State has always voted for President Buhari. Since he first contested in  2003, he has never lost Kaduna State, it is not a shock that he won the election this time. Anyone that says he has  defeated the president is  dreaming of being a president.”

The governor appealed to residents to live in peace with one another.

“We are all saddened by the violence in some  communities like Birnin Gwari, Kajuru, and lately in  Sanga. All the communities are now calm, the security agencies are there to protect the people,” he said.

el-Rufai disclosed that he was at the Presidential Villa on Friday afternoon, where he had a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari on security issues and requested for increase in the number of security operatives in the affected areas.

He appealed to the communities to come together and live in peace to  end  the violent conflicts as the security agencies are doing everything possible to make sure the people enjoy peace in the state.

El-rufai, stressed that the next four years of his administration would devote time to education, health sector, infrastructure.

The governor assured that he would be fair and just to the people of  the state, advising elected leaders in the state to carry everyone along.
