Manchester United interim manager, Ralf Rangnick, has finally spoken out about the incident that saw Cristiano Ronaldo smash an Everton fan’s phone.

United had lost 1-0 at Goodison Park and as Ronaldo left the pitch, he was booed by the home supporters.

In the midst of the chaos, the 37-year-old hit a fan’s phone out of his hands.

Ronaldo has since apologised and offered to have the boy a chance to attend a match at Old Trafford, while police continue their investigation.

But Rangnick has broken his silence one week after the incident.

He said: “No. I think he apologised in public on social media for what happened.

“As far as I know there is still an investigation ongoing, both from the police and the FA, but apart from that, I haven’t spoken about that with him.”
