On Tuesday, 11 December 2019, Ethiopian Airlines flight ET357 from Juba to Addis Ababa crashed during a take-off attempt at 5.15pm at Juba International Airport in South Sudan, located in the Jubek State.
According to reports, the captain of the Ethiopian Airlines Bombardier Dash-8 Q400 decided to take off in bad weather, making it hard to see the runway. According to Airlive, the left main gear gave way causing damage to the left wing, though it is not yet clear as to the exact cause of the crash.
