FAAN AVSEC OFFICIALS ARREST SUSPECTED CHILD TRAFFICKERS AT OWERRI AIRPORT

Men of the Aviation Security Department of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, (FAAN) have arrested several suspected child traffickers this year at the Sam Mbakwe cargo Airport, Owerri.

This is due to the increased surveillance and strict profiling of passengers at the airport.

The arrest of these suspected child traffickers were made on January 25, June 10, July 8 and July 9 2015 respectively.

The Authority has promised not to relent in its bid to provide a safe and secure airport environment for all passengers and other airport users and hereby warns all child traffickers and other unscrupulous elements to keep away from the airports because they would not be allowed to perpetrate such nefarious activities through our airports.
