Fabamwo counts gains of Yoruba Tennis Club’s youth tournament

Chairman of the Yoruba Tennis Club, Professor Tokunbo Fabamwo has revealed that its youth championship, which was conceived by the club’s trustee, Alhaji Lateef Olufemi Okunu, has so far produced talents now competing at the international level.

Fabamwo, who disclosed that efforts were being made to reinforce the competition to achieve more on its objectives, added that the club would in due course organise triangular and quadrangular tournaments with sister clubs to promote Nigerian tennis.

Speaking at the 19th edition of the championship for secondary schools in Lagos State, which ended yesterday, Fabamwo said the club was determined to fish out more hidden talents and give them the platform to hone their skills.
